The draft SPD has been developed in partnership with the other Merseyside local authorities and Merseytravel to provide consistent guidance to developers on the access and transport requirements for new development across Merseyside. It will enable the provision of a balanced transport infrastructure to provide access to employment, leisure, retail and other facilities for all the City's residents and visitors, and provide a framework for future investment in the City's strategic road and rail network where new development would create additional travel demand.
You can comment on the whole document, or individual chapters or tables. Consultees are able to request electronic (pdf) and hard copies of the report, although we would encourage representations to be made using the online system if possible.
More information on this SPD can be found on our LDF webpages as well as other information relating to supporting evidence and the development plan process.
